Learning How to Teach English!!

Our Colombia Missions team has been getting together again the last few weeks to re-group after time off for the holidays.

We have been spending time together learning how to teach the lessons we will be doing while we are down in Colombia.

We have been looking for a video about bullying which is one of the topics we are teaching on. Along with trying out some of the interactive games to see how they work, we have also been working out the kinks before we head down.

The time is soon approaching for us to head down to Colombia and perhaps some of us are feeling hesitant about our decision, while others are excited about being reunited with people they have met before. It is sometimes hard to let go of life as we know it and plunge into the unknown of a mission’s trip, but we are excited to take this leap of faith and can’t wait to see God move (in our lives and in the lives of those we meet).

Please also continue to pray for our leaders who are helping us take this journey; Pastor Rick and all his hard work and time he is putting into this, also please pray for Diego who is hosting our team. Pray for protection over them and for wisdom as they lead us. We are thankful to be under their leadership and for the ability to glean Godly understanding of the culture and our mission from them.

We anticipate God doing a big work while we are down there, and ask that you’d continue to pray with us about God’s leading of people to our English classes and that we would have God’s eyes to see those around us while we are there.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support of the calling God is allowing us to be a part of; we couldn’t do it without you!!
